FitForce provides one-to-one personal training for children aged 6 to 12 in Dubai, at your home, compound or a nearby park. Sessions last 45 minutes and focus on coordination, strength and confidence rather than performance. Every child starts with a free first session.
Why parents in Dubai are hiring a personal trainer for kids
Children used to get their physical development almost by accident — running around outside, climbing things, playing games nobody organised. Between screens, homework and a climate that keeps everyone indoors half the year, a lot of that has quietly disappeared.
The consequence shows up in ways parents notice without connecting them: poor posture from hunching over a tablet, clumsiness that should have been outgrown, tiring quickly during PE, or simply avoiding physical activity because it feels like something they are bad at. None of these are talent problems. They are practice problems.
The recommendation from the CDC's physical activity guidelines for children is 60 minutes of activity a day. Very few children in Dubai get near that without something structured in the week.
What does a session actually look like?
The thing parents most often worry about. There are no heavy weights, no exhausting circuits, and nobody is being shouted at.
Agility ladders, cone drills, bear crawls, balance challenges, relay races — activities a child experiences as fun while their coach deliberately develops coordination, reaction speed and body control.
Bodyweight strength arrives through things like planks and step-ups, scaled to the child's level — never heavy loads.
The hardest part of coaching children is holding attention for 45 minutes, which is why sessions change constantly and why coaches who work with adults are not automatically good with children.
Shorter than adult sessions on purpose — long enough to develop, short enough to stay fun from first minute to last.
How sessions change with age
A seven-year-old and a twelve-year-old need completely different sessions, even when the long-term goal is the same.
Almost entirely play. Running, jumping, balancing, changing direction. The aim is a child who enjoys moving and associates it with fun, because everything else depends on that.
More structure, and the beginnings of technique. Coordination, agility and body awareness, with simple bodyweight strength introduced. This is the age where progress becomes visible to the child themselves.
Proper movement patterns taught correctly — squats, hinges, pushing and pulling — at bodyweight or very light load. Preparation for the strength work that becomes appropriate in the teenage years.
What happens in a session?
Is strength training safe for children? Yes, when it is supervised and appropriately loaded, and the belief that it stunts growth has been repeatedly examined and not supported. What actually causes injury in young people is unsupervised lifting, poor technique, and doing too much too soon — which is exactly what happens when a child copies something from a video.
Our coaches work at bodyweight or very light resistance until well into the teenage years, and prioritise technique over load throughout. Growth plates, coordination development and attention span all shape how sessions are built. The bigger risk for most children is the opposite one — inactivity does more measurable harm at this age than sensible training ever will.
What is included
What improves, and how quickly?
Confidence usually moves first, often within three or four sessions, and it is the change parents comment on most. A child who has decided they are unsporty starts revising that opinion quickly once they can do something they could not do last week.
Coordination and agility follow over a couple of months. Children learn movement patterns considerably faster than adults do, largely because they do not overthink them.
Strength changes are slower and less visible at this age, and that is fine — it is not the point. What you are building is a child who moves well and does not dread PE, which pays off for decades rather than for a season.

Frequently asked questions
Six is the usual minimum for structured one-to-one sessions. Younger than that, unstructured play does the job better than coaching does. From thirteen, our teen programme is the better fit.
Yes, and you are welcome to. Some children concentrate better with a parent present and others perform for them — your coach will tell you honestly which yours is.
Two sessions a week is typical, which alongside school sport and general play adds up sensibly. More than three is rarely necessary and risks turning something enjoyable into an obligation.
Fairly common, and usually rooted in a bad experience of being picked last or falling behind in PE. One-to-one removes the comparison entirely, which is often the whole problem. If your child genuinely hates it after a few sessions, stop — forcing it rarely ends well.
Yes, and it often works well. Mention it when you book so the coach can plan for two.
Yes. Everything needed comes with the coach. Your child needs trainers and comfortable clothes.
